Across Pacific Palisades, ideas are becoming action, neighbors are coming together, and the work of rebuilding continues. At PRC, we’re helping turn community experience into meaningful recovery work by bringing residents together with information, experts, and one another to tackle the decisions that will shape the Palisades for years to come.
One of the ways we do that is through our Community Recovery Labs™, where Palisadians dig into complex recovery issues and help identify a path forward. After Labs focused on governance and resilience, our third CRL will take on density.
We want you in the conversation. Volunteer for the Density Lab and help make this next chapter of community-led recovery possible.

After the Fire Leadership Summit
Last week, PRC team members Rob, Maryam, and Eliana, along with board members Rabbi Amy Bernstein and Dr. Reverend Grace, traveled to Sonoma for three days at the After the Fire Leadership Summit and returned home changed by the experience.
We spent our days learning what it truly takes to lead a community through fire and its long aftermath: hearing directly from FEMA about the realities of federal funding, where it helps and where it falls short, and listening to the powerful, hard-won stories of recovery coming out of Lahaina after the Maui fires. We connected with hundreds of people from fire-affected communities across the country and left with an even deeper bond with our friends in Altadena, who are walking this same road alongside us.
Being in a room full of people who get it, who do the work of recovery every single day, was profoundly meaningful. We came home more inspired, more connected, and more grounded in why this work matters here in the Palisades.
We’re bringing that renewed energy straight back into our work.
Thank you to everyone who continues to show up for this community. This work is only possible because of you.

We’re proud to share that Community Recovery Labs® and Neighborhood Visioning Charrettes® are now registered trademarks of the Palisades Recovery Coalition. Both are rooted in a simple but powerful idea: communities should have a meaningful role in shaping their own recovery. Community Recovery Labs® bring residents, experts and stakeholders together to learn, deliberate and develop informed solutions to complex recovery issues. Neighborhood Visioning Charrettes® bring that work to the neighborhood level, helping residents collectively envision and articulate how they want their communities to rebuild. We continue refining, documenting and ultimately sharing the social infrastructure of fire recovery with other communities navigating a post-disaster landscape.
